Racing is both art and

Video and data systems broaden horizons for Skip Barber Race Series customers
Technology is everywhere, but
especially so in motorsports. Climb into
a racecar and the amount of tech at your
fingertips is mesmerizing. But, as the
cars become more technologically
advanced, so must the techniques of
learning to command these machines.
Skip Barber Racing School
understands the importance of
technology, especially as it pertains to
preparing up-and-coming racers. This
year, SBRS introduced a new video and
data initiative alongside longtime partner
Helix In-Car Camera, for the Mazda
presents the Skip Barber Racing School
Summer Series. Skip Barber Racing
School will be investing to upgrade all

Helix has also been working closely with
Precision AutoResearch, which provides
advanced research and engineering
services in the motorsport industry, to
make sure that the data components are
accurate and informative to each racer.
Together, they provide an unparalleled
teaching tool for up and coming racers.
Skip Barber Racing School will provide
the video and data to Race Series
customers for free. If they attend a race
weekend going forward, they will have
access to the data and video content.
In addition, Skip Barber Racing School
will also provide racers the option of
purchasing one-on-one time with an
experienced SBRS instructor to analyze
the content for a nominal fee.
The analysis will show racers where
they are losing valuable time on track.
“We’re excited to bring this to our
customers,” said SBRS Race Series
Director Keith Dalton. “We’ve seen many
great racers come from through our
program and this new initiative will
ensure that the Skip Barber Racing
School tradition of helping champions
achieve their dreams continues.”
