into the night. When IndyCar decided his
Delta Wing was a little too radical for its
needs, he refocused and put into place a
plan that sees the concept built, tested and
ready for racing’s ultimate challenge, the
24 Hours of Le Mans. He talked to RACER
about a vehicle that redefines how a
racecar looks, works and performs.
It’s a minor miracle that we are where
we are today. I think what we are doing is
working up the courage to try and prove
that racing has a future. And I’m not
saying what the Delta Wing showcases is
the future. But it’s the fact that racers are
prepared to innovate and we are
interested in being relevant to the racing
industry. Innovation can hurt, which is why
most prefer the status quo, right?
Plus, we are interested in the future
of personal mobility and the automotive
trends that could come from lightness and
efficiency. We aren’t the first to champion
